Speaking of Jesus - by J. Mack Stiles

A delightful, encouraging, humorous, honest, simple, deep, anecdotal, educational IVP book on how to go about sharing the good news about Jesus with people you meet. The basic premise is that "divine appointments" are available at any time. God is always with us, and the Holy Spirit does the true work of conversion, and we get to go along for the ride and be a mouthpiece for the Lord to speak into people's lives. Am I a strong evangelist? No, I don't really think so. Stiles main point is that we ae all called to speak about Jesus to the world. The Lord will help us, and it's a fun thing to grow in even if it seems intimidating. Stiles used Jesus himself as a model more often than not. Even if you think you know everything there is to know about speaking the truth of God's redemption, I still recommend this book. It's encouraging.
